Did that really just happen to me?
You know those days where everything is basically a WTF moment? It’s been a really long time since we’ve had a day filled with those moments… So I feel I have to share it.
It all started out with a trek out for errands, as we were leaving our street we found a golf club in a bush near the stop sign on our block. Our neighbor was surprised by a full bag of golf clubs on his vehicle earlier in the week, presumably stolen.
Of course as soon as we hit the road this uncontrollable hunger hits me. So we were grabbing some terrible-for-me fries to get me through the hunger… but we got stuck behind this really old, janky van that was way too tall to fit underneath the drive through signs. But the driver of the van insisted on going through the drive through, just leaving tons of room between the too-tall-van and the drive though overhead hanging signage and roof.
Of course, if you are a full car’s length away from the drive through menu and speaker the order taker’s prompt isn’t triggered and you aren’t greeted… plus you can’t be heard. So we sat behind this van forever waiting for them to place a stinking order.
Then, the van driver pulled up about a half car length away from the pickup window and had to leave the van to walk up to the pickup window for paying and collection of their order. Major WTF time here. While we waited, we snapped a photo of the craziness to share.
In case you are wondering, they went though the whole ordeal for just 2 sundaes. Guess they were REALLY important.
When we finally get home and lay Adalyn down for her nap it’s calm and chill, until she wakes and tries to climb out of her crib. She got both knees stuck in the crib rails. So stuck I had to oil them up to help free her. Major parent & child freakout moment!
Everly found and captured a frog in our front yard. Then the night is topped off by the neighbor’s dog breaking from their backyard, trampling Adalyn & Everly, trying to eat our cat and being crazily chased throughout the neighborhood by Nathan and the dog’s family.
It’s days like these that really make us want to live out in the middle of nowhere and to never leave the house. LOL.
