Here is this weeks Weekly Winners post, as with last week all photos were captured using my new Kodak CD1013. Enjoy
Here is our newest addition to the family, Gabby. She is a tortoiseshell/ tabby mix and was posing for the camera in the bathroom just for you! I love her eyes.
Here is another decent pet photo. This one is of Mr. Guy, he is gazing up watching flies or something.
Here are the infamous belly shots for your viewing pleasure. Like I said week 14 was a big growth week for me and I am now carrying the weight lower, pretty soon my pants wont button. Oh Joy.
And here is a fun shot I got of the bubbles in the bath tub. The goal was to capture to colorful rainbow in...

Normally we apply for a permit and venture out in to the forest to cut our own tree down, this year since we just barely moved to our new hometown in September we didn't have time to put in for a permit so we resorted to buying a tree instead.
A local boyscout's troupe was selling holiday trees just around the corner from our house so we stopped by to check things out on Sunday afternoon. They had quite a selection of various trees in all shapes and colors.
We found a full one that was a greenish/ blue color. This is something we are not used to seeing as in Arizona all the pine trees are a plain green color.
We spent $45.00 on the tree which is funding the boyscout's trip...

I have to say I have never been lazier (that can't be grammatically correct) or more tired in my life. This pregnancy is just making me want to lay and sleep, it is very odd.
I have never been one for nap time and people always thought I was crazy. Sleeping during the day was just strange to me, a waste of life as I have put it in the past. Even when sick I was unable to sleep during the day.
Well now laying and dozing off all day is just what I want to be doing and I am very conflicted about it. I feel guilty for not getting more done around the house and I feel very unproductive but my body just wants to sleep. Am I being a...

We have been in our new home for about a month and I just now got my desk items unpacked and sort of situated. It is amazing how much more productive and motivated I feel now that I am up off the futon and away from the TV while working on my laptop.
There is just something about "wife swap" on lifetime tv that keeps me from being productive and motivated in my writing endeavors. Oh and that show makes me feel like I am a useless bump on a log for not cleaning my house for 5 hours every day. I have no children to chase after so it makes being a stay at home gal feel ridiculous too.
Anyway, now that I am out of the living room and at...

It's the first of the month, that means 26 days till N is done with his current employer and 31 days till we are outta here. It is all very exciting and also a bit unbelieveable. We have signed a lease in Evansville, paid a security deposit and tomorrow we are forking over $1800 for our RV.
We still have movers quotes to sort through but we are pretty sure we will be going with SelfMovesUSA, they seem to have the best price and after news of wage garnishment price has become an issue for us. By the way, the garnishment was indeed deducted from the check today so we have 15% less income being directly deposited...

To me the hardest thing is to watch a loved one go through trying times and to not be able to help them. My brother is dealing with some heavy stuff right now. He had a child with a girlfriend and they have just come to terms with the idea that they can't be together as a couple. His daughter and now ex-girlfriend just left his house to be on their own. He is not on his daughters birth certificate because his pregnant girlfriend was a minor when she gave birth.
Ugh, it is a whole slew of drama that I don't want to bore you with. Basically sitting by and watching him make his choices and watching him struggle is killing me. As outsiders to the situation we can see...

Yep, that is right I have some beauty to share with you today. I went out into the garden to enjoy all my plants and their beautiful blooms. Here is a shot of my lavender blooms with the pine trees and the sky in the background.
I spotted a pretty pink peony out in the flower bed of the rental house today, I just got my own peonies in march but they aren't blooming yet. I was pleasantly surprised to see this beauty in bloom all unexpectedly. I took several shots because I liked the shadow and lighting from various angles.
One of my favorite flowers is the gerbera daisy. I love to have these in vibrant bright colors. Lucky for me Albertson's was selling small potted ones this weekend in the...

I am turning to the garden to get my mind out of the gutter (not the perverted gutter, nice try!) these days. I don't know what is going on with me but I am just not as perky as usual these days.
We are still waiting on the second offer from Evansville but we are trying to be patient since Indiana has had some severe weather this week and we know the news station is swamped right now.
We have a little over 70 days here at our current rental before we have to move out and find a new rental here or in another city so long term gardening is out of the question still. I can plant, grow and enjoy any thing that will bloom or fruit within that time...

Now I know you are all excited to see how last nights performance went huh? When the 26 year old dance teacher performs with the students everyone wants to watch just to see if she will make an a$$ out of her self huh? Wait, no that is just how I think about myself! Oops.
The performance went well, better than expected once again! I work with a group of amazing young ladies who have a knack for "bringing it" when it is most important. They rock and it makes my job such a pleasure (so much that I can perform with them!). So here is the video from last night, can you spot me?

I remember being a kid and hearing the whole "you can do anything you set your mind to" spiel. There were songs about it, Disney movies on the concept and of course your parents and teachers would preach it over and over, so is it true? Can you REALLY do anything you set your mind to?
As adults we become jaded and we begin to think that we were only told those things to keep us hopeful and hard working.
I remember being a a child, standing in front of the TV watching a Maddona music video. I was captivated and inspired. I thought to myself "I want to do that when i grow up"! As I got older I thought this meant I wanted to be a famous singer so...

Have I mentioned that I LOVE freecycle? Well, I do. Yesterday we tackled cleaning out the closet. I have an abundance of clothes, shoes and a variety of other crap that is not being used and it is just pointless to keep lugging it around from home to home as we move.
So we plugged the IPOD in, cranked it up and went through every single clothing bin & box reorganizing, sorting and making piles of stuff to give away. N got rid of a large box of clothes, I got rid of 2 bags of shoes, 1 bag of purses, 1 bag of clothes, we found an old working electric blanket, N scanned the important articles from stack and stacks of magazines then donated them. We got rid of so...

Yesterday (may13th 2008) N came home telling me that his employer laid people off today. I guess 2 graphics artists were let go, money is tight within to company and has been for several years.
What is surprising is that N's employer, channel 12 news, is a fairly big company with a large number of viewers. We didn't expect that the "big station" would experence job cuts or be affected by all the company turmoil. Usually it is the little stations in the smaller towns that go first.
Before N got promoted to channel 12 in March 2008 he was working with channel 2 in flagstaff. Three years ago, right around thanksgiving 2005, we were told the station was being put up for sale. This meant job security was uncertain dispite the...

Do you reflect on your life journey? Do you see how one thing leads you to another, does it help you to face the future and the present?
Looking back and reflecting upon the journey is something I tend to do. It gives me perspective on the current events when I look back to see how we got here. I always try to see the positive side of things when I reflect and I seldom have regrets about things. I tend to look back and reflect after the accomplishments in life, it comforts me and gives me the strength to face what is in the future.
N got the official "we want to fly you out here for an interview" communication yesterday after applying to a number of different places. He has...
