It’s wonderful to read and learn more about you, although this is a tough time for you with the move and all.

Don’t you let the fact that you are not a wife or mother make you feel like you have not started a family. Too many people hinge their happiness on these ideals, and that is all they are. In reality, you have already started your family when you started living with N. Family are people that you feel comfortable around and feel loved by. You don’t have to worry about burping or farting in front of them and you trust them to carry out your wishes if you should be incapacitated. Granted, not everyone is born into a family like that. But that is the type of family that you create for yourself. And you’ve already started that, haven’t you? High-fives! 😉
