It’s an Italian soda. That soda got me through three pregnancies and I still get it when I am feeling acidy. Their warehouse is here in CT so I can just go whenever, but now they have online shopping. You can’t find this soda in stores. It’s only sold in Italian restaurants. However they let you purchase it if you go right to the warehouse too. Being Italian American, I was brought up on Foxon Park soda and Gassosa was used when we didn’t feel well. Every gulp you take makes you burp. It also settles the stomach. It’s better than any antacids.

I would try to get a daily walk in to keep things moving.. also would do my best to support a healthy digestive tract through lots and lots of water and a daily probiotic (yogurt or supplement) as well as considering digestive enzymes (papaya is good for that while pregnant..may help with the heartburn). Rainbow Light Prenatals contain digestive enzymes and spirluna and always kept me VERY regular and cut down on the gas.. but still, it is amazing how much gas and bloat a pregnant woman can produce. (It is a running joke in our home).

Wish you the best in finding a good solution

Walking helps move gas, but you have to be willing to let ‘er rip when the urge strikes and not be embarrassed about who’s around. Also, putting your fanny in the air while on all 4’s works, too. Takes a while, though.

TUMS… buy them in bulk. And yogurt.

I used to take a prenatal vitamin that was only available at health food stores that had added acidophilus and it helped things move VERY well. I had to be careful to take the vitamin when I knew I’d be home for a few hours afterwards!

Mostly… get used to feeling a bit “off” for a while. As I recall, the last trimester those weird feelings of bloating left…just in time for my ankles to swell the size of watermelons.

I craved everything potato during my first pregnancy… tater tots YUM. Since potatoes are the perfect food, eat up.

They are safe to take and also a good source of calcium. heartburn is a pain in the ass. I had it most of my pregnancy. You need to limit foods that cause alot of gas like broccoli and beans, spicy foods and fried/fatty foods. It depends on your body.I loved mexican food and salsa with Faith and never got any heartburn. With Riley, everything did.
Also, when you start breastfeeding, all these foods should be in moderation beacause it could cause the baby to be gassy. Every baby is different and it’s hit-and-miss until you can figure out what is causing the babies gas. Most of what you can/can’t take while prego apply to breastfeeding. Some meds though aren’t safe while breastfeeding because they pass into your blood stream, when ur prego, the placenta blocks them out.
The reason your bloated is that while prego, your body produces large doses of estrogen and progesterone in the early part of pregnancy to relax smooth muscle tissue throughout your body. A relaxed tract slows your digestive process.
