I wrapped all my presents today while the boys were down for a nap, and I just stuffed all the stockings!
My new slogan is “Screw Santa… It’s Mrs. Clause that does all the work!”
I wish I was there with you to eat some yummy rolls! I got some eggs, bacon, and fresh hash browns and some bagles for us to have breakfast tomorrow!

Our Christmas eve is evolving from one tradition of a big dinner and present opening after Santa comes in the morning – to something diff because the boys are getting older. This yr we will be waiting for a daughter and grandson to get here sometime after dinner. We will open one gift tonight and then the rest tomorrow. Santa used to fill the stockings after the kids went to bed… but this yr each of us is going to contribute something to the socks… on the sly when others are not paying attention. It used to work when the girls got too old for Santa… we shall see how it works with this younger set of kids.

I am glad I pulled that off, as some of our roads here are at a standstill, it snowed again overnight, and is still snowing now!
Christmas eve traditions are two movies, A Christmas Carol with Alistair Sim (black and white version) and It’s a Wonderful Life, also the black and white version.
