Last summer, we saw an elderly man sitting in the heat by the side of the road selling watermelons. I didn’t know this old man, never saw him before. I turned the truck around, went to a small grcery store, and bought a bottle of cold water. We drove back, and my son tried to give the water to the gent. He smiled, and shaking his head, declined the water. My son told me the man already had water. “Know what else he told me?” my son asked, beaming. “He told me, ‘God bless you'”. My oldest still talks about that, periodically, volunteers in the community.
BTW, thanks for visiting!
