You are not the only person on the earth!

Just think of about if you were the only person on the earth… What would you have to do yourself? What conveniences would you have to go without? The drive through Startbucks can’t be without people to work there. Who would work at the grocery store? What would we do without sanitation workers or seamstresses? So many things that we enjoy are only possible because we as a society come together to make those essential things a possibility. Without everyone else we could not have the life we enjoy.

Bottom line is that too many people are living inconsiderately these days. Too much is taken for granted. When someone makes an effort to do something for you or to show up somewhere for you do you blow them off? When someone goes out of their way to help you out are you grateful and appreciative? Do you thank others? Do you take more than you give? Do you drain people? Are you selfish?

My point is that everyone struggles, life is not easy. It’s important to be respectful of those around you and to be considerate of them and all they do. The world does not revolve around you. Everybody is part of the big picture and everybody deserves respect and consideration.

If somebody steps up to help you out be grateful and return the favor, they are not obligated to help you and you are lucky to have them. We all need to take better care of those around us, we all have room to improve how we treat others.

My challenge to you is this: Think of one thing that somebody did or said that had a positive impact on you today. Thank them and let them know how much it meant to you, then pass the kindness on to as many people as you can in whatever way you can.

What were you positively influenced by today and what did you do to pass it on?
