Good lord it is hot here! Last night it was about 80 degrees inside our home (from the days heat) and about 60 degrees outdoors at 10 pm! A 60 degree night time high is considered quite WARM here and we were baking. We went through the storage shed and dug out the fans, set them up in the windows and tried to cool the place down so we could sleep. It’s too darn hot!
Now I just know some of you are moaning and groaning about how I think it is hot here. I am sure it is also quite hot for you but do you have AC? We DON’T! AC is not standard in homes up here in good ole Flagstaff, AZ. That is just th way the cookie crumbles. Usually it is just not warm enough for long enough to justify having an AC.
Today @ 10am it is 83 degrees outside, and 72 indoors.. Sigh, I need to walk around naked or something. So when it does get warmer than usual here we cry, cry, cry and pray for it to cool off. Pitty us okay?
Oh, and I think the warm as temperatures are messing with my body temperature charting. Poo!! Oh, period… are you coming to me? I want to know before I go crazzzzy.

I wish you could send some of that my way. I don’t normally mind the heat during the day at all, but I hear you about at night. A cool breeze or an air conditioner certainly makes it much easier to sleep.

“I need to walk around naked or something.” You DO know better than to dangle something like that in front of all of us “strong visualizers” out here, don’t you. Geez woman, have mercy. I’m trying to get some work done here and that normally doesn’t include any time for daydreaming or having visualization fun. Wait a minute, that doesn’t quite sound right. Um … you know, just kinda drifting off into lala land with a big grin on your face and people just walk past you wondering “What’s with him?”

I know!! Well, it’s usually hot here, but I haven’t had time to get the AC ready for the summer yet. Last week it was snowing this week upper 80’s outside. Last night I about cooked, b/c my husband is a major heat source. This morning I went into Mack’s room and it was 80 degrees!! And I’d put him in his super, duper warm jammies last night. I’m surprised he wasn’t awake screaming all night, since I WANTED to be!!
That reminds me, I’ve gotta get out today and get the AC uncovered and ready.

No a/c in AZ? That’s terrible 🙁 I felt the same way in San Diego. I never understood why they built homes without a/c there. The summer gets to over 100 degrees!
