By the time you read this my students and I will be out in the hot phoenix sun rehearsing and getting ready to perform. They go on around 5pm and it will take us till about midnight to get back home to Flagstaff, AZ. Many of you are worried that I am pregnant and I just wanted to assure you that I am not. I took a test early Thursday and it was negative like the previous tests. I still have no period but suspect it is resulting from my low body weight. Our zebra finches are persistant & stubborn!

Today when we went to refill our bird food for the zebra finches N made a discovery! We took the finch nest out of the cage because all the experts say that without a nest finches wont try to breed. Well, this is the 2nd time our zebra finches have proved them wrong! So we broke down and put the nest back in the cage, moved the eggs to the nest and are getting ready for another batch of babies!...

A white valentines day.?.?

Yep, we are having a white valentines day! It's cold, snowy and cozy. I'll get to use up lots of our fire wood today so that is good! The more we burn the less we will have to move in a few weeks. Yesterday I tried to go out back and chip some ice off the sidewalk. We have these French back doors that we will need access to when we are moving all our large furniture out of this place. Unfortunately, the inches of slick ice covering the sidewalk and the feet of snow blocking our access to the parking area will prevent us from moving our stuff so we need to get that taken care of ASAP.
