Nothing like crawling in to bed to find this: Yeah, I know the picture is microscopic and hard to interpret thanks to some stupid photo file corruption that happen when the photo was captured (thanks for ruining my really funny photo Kodak!). I'll try to describe it all for you, see the stain in the bed? See me laughing my ass off? See that yellowish thing in the middle of the stain? No, I did not pee the bed! It's one of these greasy buggers under the covers on N's side of the bed. N made the funniest face when he saw it, it was a cross between a look of disgust and curiosity. My reaction "Awe, dang! Sorry babe", then we laughed hysterically. You see we had Sonic breakfast burritos yesterday morning and then I...

Welcome to the midwest! We're ice storm virgins from the westcoast.

We are at the OBGYN right now My OBGYN is closed as a result of the level 2 state of emergency Evansville is in thanks to the power outages and road conditions! So I've scheduled this post to keep you all occupied until we get home, gather our thoughts and are able to draft up a post about our latest pregnancy news, stay tuned!  Better yet subscribe to the blog so you'll know when the post goes live first! Actually, the OBGYN never even tried calling us to inform us of the office closure so we're not sure when we'll be rescheduled for the ultrasound, guess we'll be waiting a while to get news on Tater Tot's gender...

Snow and ice are here but we still have power, woot!

If you read yesterdays post you know we were supposed to be getting this hellish ice storm and tons on snow according to the forecasters. Once N got to work he heard the news and promptly informed me. They said we would loose lose power (thanks Josh for the typo catch!) and that we should all take steps to prepare for the storm. Like I've said in previous posts people in this town are snow wimps, snow doesn't happen that often here and is not managed well by the city so I guess it is only natural for them to freak out whenever a winter storm is headed our way. Anyway we did get some snow and ice, not the 3 inches they said we would though. School is canceled for many...

Weekly Winners January 4th -11th 2009

Here is this weeks Weekly Winners post, as with last week all photos were captured using my new Kodak CD1013. Enjoy Here is our newest addition to the family, Gabby. She is a tortoiseshell/ tabby mix and was posing for the camera in the bathroom just for you! I love her eyes. Here is another decent pet photo. This one is of Mr. Guy, he is gazing up watching flies or something. Here are the infamous belly shots for your viewing pleasure. Like I said week 14 was a big growth week for me and I am now carrying the weight lower, pretty soon my pants wont button. Oh Joy. And here is a fun shot I got of the bubbles in the bath tub. The goal was to capture to colorful rainbow in...

Weekly Winners – December 29th – January 4th

This is the first attempt at Weekly Winners that I have made on this blog. All photos were captured using my new Kodak CD1013 that refuses to turn on when I need it. These Weekly Winners aren't stunning examples of mad photography skills like the shots Lotus takes. Mine are just stunning glimpses of day to day life in my house. Enjoy (but pay no attention to the mess okay?)! Don't you just hate not being able to pinch off that last piece of poo? Dragging your butt from side to side across the bathrom floor is not the optimum way to finish your business but hey, some just have to make due right? Do you see the long, dark hair in the factory sealed package of salmon? Jack, out kitty has a real...

Munching cat poo "cookies" is gross!

I am not sure what is so appetizing about eating cat poo piles from the cat box but our dog is totally addicted to it. It worries me because cat litter can't be good for a dogs digestive tract plus the process of eating cat poo somehow results in the poo and litter being strewn about the bathroom and the house (which is bad because I am not allowed to handle cat feces while pregnant) plus it just makes you want to vomit. Sometimes I wonder how much of the poo she actually eats and how much just gets thrown about in the process. Either way poo eating is bad business in my opinion. Yesterday while I was in the bedroom blogging and watching Desperate Housewives I heard things moving in the bathroom....

Getting the holiday ducks in a row and not looking like a hobo anymore!

Last night the temperature got down to 8 degrees here in Evansville, right now it is about 20 degrees and I am inches from my space heater trying to keep warm. Can you believe there are only a few days left until Christmas? We managed to get lots of stuff taken care of this weekend and we even got to see a holiday show while we were at it. We saw the Evansville Dance Theater's Performance of The Nutcracker on Saturday night. We were expecting some more like this video. What we got was not the traditional ballet presentation we were expecting (I am a ballet snob being a trained dancer and all) but it was cute and entertaining. It was also cool to see such a wide range of dancers executing the...

In Indiana breathing mold is okay but home birth is not, just an FYI.

Yeah I know the title seems kind of odd huh? I have been tying all sorts of weird things together these days like posts about a ladies hoo-hoo's and mold. This is just the way my brain is working these days...

I am just a tad angry right now!

Lets see, it has been 18 days since we sent off our rent check and our "we are concerned about mold" letter via certified mail to the landlords. As of today the letter STILL has not been claimed and is sitting at the post office. N called the landlord over the weekend about it and their response was "well, we've been busy and we figured it was returned to you already". She then said once it was returned to us we could "drop it by some store of theirs" or she could come by and pick it up from us. Yeah, you are going to have to come by and get it from us since your laziness is not our issue. We sent the letter off to you like we are legally...

Yay Amigo!

Remember when I mentioned that our only car (the poor amigo) was getting a new soft top? Well, the soft top arrived yesterday and N got it installed today. Hurray for keeping the cold air out of the moving vehicle! This is a huge deal for us considering it has been about 4 years since we started talking about getting a new top for the thing. It is amazing what a difference it makes to. The car is actually not uncomfortable to ride in anymore. Before the wind would whistle through the car blowing dust, leaves and other debris in to your face. Also, people riding in the back were not protected from the rain or snow. They day we dropped my mom and brother off at the airport after the road...

Could it snow today? Weather man says it might!

N and I are headed out for a day of getting stuff done. We have a mystery shop all sorts of things to do today. We are going to the book swap place with some of my old, already read books, we might do some holiday shopping and we have grocery shopping to do. Plus we still haven't returned our crappy mattress topper that we spent $130.00 on. It is going to be a cool day for this since snow is in the forecast, yay! I'll need to bundle up in multiple layers to keep me and Tater Tot warm. Here is a thought that should hopefully keep us toasty! Create your own puzzles at PuzzleBee.com!...

Updates and water drops…

I have been staring at this blank post page for several minutes and am drawing no inspiration. Thanks to everyone for the good thoughts and well wishes. Being able to relate to others who are going through or have been through the same stuff is more helpful than you know. I honestly don't know what is going on with my body. I'll be happy to go in and see a doctor for the first time, I think it will put me at ease. I expect to see a doctor sometime in November, preferably early November if insurance permits. The spotting has stopped since yesterday morning. I am feeling particularly achy, it is my entire midsection that aches which is normal apparently. Thanks to Hyphen Mama for the helpful link and info and...

Oh, the street lights, are a fallin'

Yesterday while N was reading his magazines and books in the living room he heard a loud creaking sound. Initially he though it was a tree branch falling down like they all did the day Hurricane Ike blew through Evansville and we had to chainsaw tree to prevent phone lines from ripping and whatnot. When he turned around to look at what was falling he saw the strangest thing, a toppled street light in our neighbors yard! We watched the residents of the home pondering the situation and walking the yard on their cellphones. We figured they were calling the power company and the insurance company, you know notifying the authorities. 45 minutes passed with no sign of the utility company. N and I thought it was odd. Then the police officer that...

Petite girls like pretty dresses too!!

Over the weekend N and I went wedding dress hunting. Yeah I know the dress is supposed to be a surprise for the groom and all. Problem is I just moved and am now living 1500 miles away from them, I have no "people" to go dress shopping with. I figured it would really be sad if I went alone so N and I talked and we are okay with doing the dress hunting together. Once I find a dress I love I'll do fittings and all the finishing touches by myself, unless one of my lovely readers happens to be near Evansville, IN and wants to be my dress buddy. So back to the dress hunting story, we spent the entire day roaming our new home town. We visited USA bridal...

Wordless Wednesday October 1st

Happy October 1st guys! Have you started holiday shopping yet? I just bought my first Christmas gift for someone today online. Silly huh? I like to shop in advance though, takes the stress out of the season. Anyway, here is my wordless Wednesday post. I want your captions for the photo though (I need a laugh). I was on autopilot the other day while making dinner. Those are mashed potatoes in one pan and new potatoes in the other. kind of redundant huh? Got a witty caption for the photo? All I could come up with was "WTF?" but I just know you guys will have something better. ...
